Coach Aaron Calhoun is President of the Rebels organization and has been working with our club since 2017. He is the current coach of the 13U team. He has coached his sons’ teams through Yorkville Youth Baseball and Softball league before joining forces with the Rebels.
Aaron has been playing baseball since he could go without a diaper and continued throughout his youth. He played shortstop for four years at Eureka College, and earned both Most Improved and MVP during his time there. He also served as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Sauk Valley Community College Skyhawks Baseball program.
Aaron believes that it is essential for our Rebel players to love the game of baseball while having fun--doing so will enable them to become better players, both physically and mentally. In his coaching practices, he teaches his players strong foundational skills and the fundamentals of baseball.
Aaron has a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Eureka College and a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Illinois State University.
