Ryan Forsyth lives in Yorkville and is looking forward to taking on the roll of head coach for the Kendall County Rebel's 9U team in 2022.

During the 2021 spring season Ryan supported the coaches with player development, managed the game changer app which included keeping score and streaming live video. He also assisted with any and all team related activities.

Ryan coached in the OBSA in-house program for 3 seasons, and coached 2 seasons for the Oswego Park District leagues as well. Ryan's background is baseball is impressive. He grew up in the state of Oklahoma and played travel baseball from age 9 to age 14. In high school, he excelled in both baseball and football as a two sport athlete playing at the 6A level which was the highest at the time. In baseball, his primary positions were pitcher, catcher and first base. He made the All Edmond Team along with the All Big City Team during his senior year. These teams included the best players in the OKC area. After high school, Ryan pitched at Garden City Community College in Garden City, KS. During his time at GCCC he topped out on the radar at 92mph. After playing 1 year in junior college he transferred to Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO. SEMO is a division 1 level and play in the Ohio Valley Conference where he finished his final 3 years of eligibility. Ryan enjoyed success on the mound at the D1 level. His best memory was getting the win against Oklahoma State 4-2 in a game where he gave up just 5 hits in 8 2/3 innings, beating the then top ranked Cowboys.

For his coaching philosophy, Ryan focuses on positivity and learning from mistakes. Through his years in baseball, he knows that mistakes are inevitable, but it's what you can learn from them that is most important, both on or off the field. He believes in a sharp focus on what you can control on the field, such as being respectful, coachable, hustling, teamwork, and always giving your best effort.
